McCain said she had heard the rumors from “very serious journalists,” and Palmeri added that she heard the couples were living separate lives. McCain, who is also Republican senator John McCain’s daughter, wasn’t willing to name these highly regarded journalists.

On January 17th, Barack posted a loving birthday dedication to his wife on Instagram, with the caption, “Happy birthday to the love of my life, @Michelle Obama.
