Disaster DC-10 near Paris

The crash, also known as the Air Crash in Ermenonville, occurred on Sunday March 3, 1974 near Paris. Turkish Airlines airliner operated a passenger flight Istanbul-Paris-London. 6 minutes after departure from Paris at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters, one of the cargo compartments unexpectedly opened, which created explosive decompression, as a result of which the plane crashed. The liner went on a dive and after 1.5 minutes crashed at high speed into the Ermenonville forest near the capital of France. All 346 people died, including 12 crew members and 334 passengers. This disaster to this day remains one of the largest aircraft disasters in which there were no survivors.
