Ka-52 «Alligator» (USSR)
The predecessor of this helicopter was the most beautiful combat helicopter Ka-50 «Black Shark». But with the onset of the difficult 1990s, the Ka-50 was subject to replacement. To a greater extent due to the fact that the crew consisted of one person — a pilot, without a navigator. Such a significant minus affected the quality of the specialized work of the combat vehicle and made it unviable in combat conditions. Then a new helicopter was created with two crew members — the Ka-52 Alligator. This helicopter also has the best flight characteristics, the best weapons and the best avionics. He, like the Mi-28, has a 30-mm gun, but with better accuracy due to the installation in the center of the fuselage of the body. At the same time, it has worse pointing angles compared to the Mi-28. Both aircraft were not exported outside of Russia, and discussions are still underway on forums about which aircraft was the best.
