About 40% of the Manilians live below the poverty line and often simply can’t afford anything better than living in slums and boxes literally on pedestrian streets. Thousands of poor citizens do not have the slightest financial opportunity to acquire at least some, even the most not whimsical refuge, and therefore they are simply forced to look for an alternative.
