Combined with drug and alcohol consumption, the risk to other motorists and pedestrians was enormous. For employees working in the funeral sector, where trust is central and families rely on respect and care, such behavior carries even heavier consequences.

The case is still being reviewed, but the takeaway couldn’t be clearer: never drive under the influence, and always step in when a colleague is unfit to be behind the wheel. What should have been a routine transfer turned into a sobering reminder of how quickly responsibility and reputation can be lost.
