7. Get enough sleep
There’s a reason it’s called beauty sleep! Even if you do all of the above, if you’re not getting rest, your skin will not look good and that’s an unfortunate fact. So be sure to get your eight hours and prioritize sleep even if you live a busy lifestyle, because otherwise, it won’t take long for dark circles and a dull complexion to show up.
8. Additional treatments
Along with have a skincare routine at home as we mentioned above, you can use face masks and exfoliation to improve the health of your skin as well. Face masks add moisture and have anti-aging properties — some even reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Exfoliators come in many forms — you can opt for a food-derived one or a gentle chemical exfoliator that contains AHA as a weekly treatment.
9. Use a humidifier in dry or cold weather
When winter comes around, forget dewy, rosy skin. Dry skin leads to wrinkles, patches, roughness and all other kinds of things that make you want to go get an expensive facial at a spa. But adding a humidifier to your home or even an essential oil diffuser can introduce some moisture into your home and your skin will thank you for it.
