Mi-24 (USSR) — «Crocodile»
Following the Cobra, the second attack helicopter in the world was created and released, and its name is Mi-24. This combat vehicle is very recognizable and legendary, because the helicopter was actually indispensable in hot spots. However, the Mi-24 was significantly different from its overseas counterpart. Soviet designers embodied in it the idea of an attack helicopter with the ability to carry an assault. On the one hand, this increased the size and weight of the helicopter, but on the other, this design more than once saved the wounded soldiers and pilots, who now could easily be transported directly in a combat vehicle. The Mi-24 baptism of fire took place in Afghanistan, where its value can hardly be overestimated.
