The events of the film tell about the fate of people who were on a nuclear submarine at the moment when the accident happened there. The whole difficulty of the situation consisted precisely in the fact that the atmosphere of strict secrecy reigned on board. Therefore, the commander of the ship was forced to make a difficult choice: to save the crew or kill people, while doing his duty to the end.
