Cockroaches love sweets. Pieces of sugar or drops of sweet juice on the table are a paradise for these pests. So it was before. And now, cockroaches are avoiding sweet food, as it is poison to them. The experiment showed that a cockroach that is full of sugar suddenly dies. This experiment was passed on to insects through generations, and even replacing glucose with fructose, alas, did not help. These insects can incredibly adapt to any conditions, and therefore to understand that sugar is a poison, it did not make them much work and did not take much time.
