This German shepherd dog sapper was able to save many lives and demine hundreds of buildings thanks to its sharp nose and incredible quick wits. Having been shot and experienced extreme stress, Elga lost the puppies she was pregnant with, but she was able to recover and became even more professionally trained. But still, Elga was never able to neutralize one mine and, having fallen on her, she died from injuries incompatible with life. There is a monument on the grave of a sapper dog.
