In Kessel-Lo, near Leuven, antique dealer Jens Rentmeesters made an extraordinary discovery while clearing out an old house: a 1964 Jaguar hidden in a pit beneath the garage floor. He now plans to restore the classic vehicle.

Over the years, Rentmeesters has unearthed many unusual items as a house-clearance dealer, but finding a vintage Jaguar tops them all. “This is definitely number one,” he says. “I never expected it. I’ve come across a gold chain or old love letters before. It’s not always about money—sometimes the emotional value is just as important.”
