A gas leak occurred on the Siberia-Ural-Volga pipeline section. When 2 oncoming trains passed nearby, an explosion thundered. The power of this explosion was such that in the city the wave beat the glass in houses … The city was 10 km from the scene of the accident! 600 passengers were killed, 181 of whom are children.
