At first, it’s so subtle that not everyone notices it right away. A slight movement. A shift in the structure. Then, slowly, the steps begin to change. What looked solid just moments ago starts to move. Sections slide back. Edges lower. And within seconds, the staircase no longer looks like stairs at all. A space opens up where the steps used to be. Clean. Smooth. Intentional. The woman doesn’t hesitate.
As if she’s done this before, she moves forward. Guiding her wheelchair directly into the space that’s formed. The crowd goes quiet. Because now it’s clear— This wasn’t a guess. This wasn’t a risk. She knew exactly what she was doing.
And just as quickly as it started… The entire structure begins to shift again.
