Caught at 146 km/h in a Hearse: Traffic Check Spirals Out of Control

It’s not every day that officers find themselves chasing a hearse down the motorway, yet that’s exactly what unfolded on a highway last weekend. A grey funeral vehicle, far removed from any procession or emergency, blasted past traffic at 146 km/h. Inside were two employees of a local funeral home—apparently in far more of a hurry than their line of work would suggest.

The police quickly moved in and stopped the vehicle, but the speeding violation turned out to be only the tip of the iceberg. During the check, the driver tested positive for both alcohol and drugs. His unsteady movements, confused responses, and lack of awareness made it clear he had no business being behind the wheel.
