Entrepreneurship runs in Marissa’s family
Marissa revealed that her dad inspired her to be open to entrepreneurship. “My dad was always an entrepreneur, and instilled that spirit in me. So from that decision to not pursue my degree, I then began this season of massive research. Learning about marketing, online platforms, how to freelance work, etc. I continued to waitress and bartend, as I had always done, while I was also learning and growing in the web world,” she said online.
She started her career in social media with affiliate marketing
The Instagram star has a diverse background in marketing. She was involved in affiliate marketing at the Global Affiliate Zone from March 2017 to June 2019. Additionally, she served as a market partner at Monat Global from 2018 to 2020. In September 2020, she took on the role of marketing specialist at Virtual Marketing 360, where she worked for six months.
DuBois subsequently took on the role of Social Media Manager at Reality with Riss LLC, a company located in Miami, Florida, USA. She held this position from September 2020 to September 2022.
