A woman cannot work by vocation. It is believed that the main work of women in Saudi Arabia is to educate and care for her husband and children, and not to serve in hired work. However, women were still allowed to work, although not everywhere. A woman may become a teacher or a nurse, but this will require the permission of a guardian and special education.
