One of the basic principles of Buddhism is faith in reincarnation. The Chinese authorities vetoed this integral part of Buddhism, forbidding some monks to reincarnate. It sounds a little ridiculous and strange, especially since many are still convinced that this is just a way to protect people from the influence of the Dalai Lama, who is in exile. By the way, for the same reason, Brad Pitt is denied entry to China: after filming the film «7 years in Tibet» in Tibet, the actor was barred from visiting the country 15 years in advance.
