Radiation accident at the Krasnoe Sormovo plant, January 18, 1970. On the K-320 nuclear submarine, when it was at the test stage, an unauthorized launch of the reactor occurred and then an explosion followed. 12 people died immediately. There was a significant radioactive contamination of the territory of the workshop in which the boat was built. For twenty-five years this tragedy remained a state secret.
