When Marvel was in financial difficulties, Michael Jackson was seriously thinking about buying out the company. Why do you think the pop king needed this failed corporation? Yes, he just dreamed of playing the role of Spider-Man, as he was his fan. Unfortunately, and perhaps fortunately, the deal with the company fell through and later Marvel was bought out by Disney.
