The actor’s body experienced such metamorphoses poorly. Due to uncontrolled discharge and weight gain, he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. After the diagnosis, Tom said that he would no longer experiment with sharp fluctuations in weight for the sake of roles and will preserve his health. By the way, for this role, Tom Hanks received a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
