Long-eared hedgehogs are by nature more agile and quick, so in case of danger they are very reluctant to curl up. Since the speed of movement of these hedgehogs is several times higher than usual, it will be very difficult for a potential hunter to catch them. Often in order to protect himself an eared hedgehog try to jump up and pull out the sensitive places of the attacker with his needles.
