California condor
This bird is considered the largest bird in North America, the wingspan of which is as much as 3 meters! Once, a California condor was already on the verge of extinction in the wild. Then it was decided to catch the remaining 27 individuals and breed them in captivity. After 4 years, the condor was again tried to be introduced into the natural habitat, but despite all the work done, the population of this bird is still at risk of complete extinction.
