A 25-year-old young man named Wu Jia Rui also owns another animal listed in the Red Book. This is a short-tailed chinchilla. The original habitat of the animal is the Andes (South America). Because of hunting for valuable fur of these animals, numerous species of chinchillas are on the verge of extinction.
